New favorite treat!

My dates came in from the date people last week! I was psyched:

I have a new favorite snack. I call it "Cuke-date sandwiches."

CUKE-DATE SANDWICHES

1. chop cucumbers into slices of desired thickness
2. place date on cucumber slice. (pit them as you go)
3. eat and ENJOY.

Cucumbers with dates as a combo is DIVINE! What is your new favorite treat?

I just read the comment you left me on my blog about how to add a badge. Basically, all you do is scroll down to the bottom of the page (assuming you're talking about Raw Fu) and click on the word "Badge." You'll know what to do from there. And don't worry, it took me a while to figure it out too!

I'd love to know how much that stash costs as well. I get medjools at Whole Foods, and they are about $7.00 for 30 dates. I'm wondering if the Date People is a better deal.

Also, which kind is that? Barhi? Can you describe them as compared to medjools? Thanks!! ;)

yum yum yum, I just got my order of dates from the date people too :)

I haven't tried them with cucumber yet, but its tough to get organic cukes here when they aren't in season...but only less than 2 months left!!

Your climbing pics are awesome, it looks like alot of challenging fun to climb.

paulina, nah, you don't need to rinse them. BUT you CAN! ive also heard of people soaking them in coconut water! mmmm!

wendy... it is a MUCH better deal than whole foods! I get 10 POUNDS. A pound at whole foods is like 7 bucks or so... and i pay about 35 bucks for TEN pounds!!!! you do the math. =) and these are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better! They are Barhi dates.. they taste almost the SAME as medjools except that they are smaller but moister. You'll love them!

Never had dates with cucumbers before--I'll have to try it!

My favorite new snack (or one of them) is banana slices with (raw) cashew butter. Yum-O!!!

P.S. I'm adding you to my blogroll!!

Mmm, another wonderful use for cukes. I love cukes sliced up on just about anything for that crisp snapy feel of the food.
