I don't remember if I have ever posted this on here, so I will now.
I wrote this about the purpose of my vertical life, which obviously means CLIMBING:
PURPOSE OF MY VERTICAL LIFE
I love the exhilarating, zen-like effect that climbing has on me. When scaling up a wall, it is as if all of the conflicts in my life temporarily disappear and the only thing that matters is a single movement of my body to hold on to a piece of rock. I love the intense focus, the perpetuating concentration, the endless trance. Climbing is truly meditation through movement. Everytime I climb, I feel like I understand myself and my purpose with extreme clarity. Every movement is inevitably turned into a tunnel-vision goal, which is achieved immediately almost every time, over and over and over again. I don’t know who, what, or where I would be without climbing. It is what I live for and what I will be doing for the rest of my life.

Ash, you are just one free used car/truck/van away from heading out across the country for a looong 8 month bouldering and climbing adventure aren't you?
Yoga makes me feel that way too. I love it.
Whoa! It's been awhile since I've been by here - my apologies.
You're very mature and focused for your age. Love it.
Hi Ash!
I've just been reading a couple of your posts (it's kinda late here in Sapin).
Just tell you your writings are very motivating. For it's a little hard to explain all my feelings and thoughts, and somehow I can see a bit of myself on your texts.
I just read GETTING SERIOUS ABOUT TRAINING, I took that desition some time ago. And I'm starting to live the dream. I do not know how long I will be capable to keep, I hope forever, sure...
Before summer I had some kinda down time. I was very upset and questioning lots of things. Then I just took my time, and everything came back.
Now I'm not stronger, but I fell stronger. And I know I can live the dream. So you can!
Hope you read this,
Have a good climb!
Beautiful post. Wonderful picture. Wow!
