For young coconuts, you could try your local grocery store (ask the produce manager to order them if they don't stock them) or your local Asian market or any WF. We just picked up a case today from our local grocer - even worked out a deal on them since we buy them so much.

Atlanta should be fun! You'll have to update us on that trip for sure. :)

Why Do People Try the Liver Flush?

Proponents of the liver flush say that it's a detox (detoxification) method and also use it as a natural treatment for gallstones.

Why these ingredients? Apple juice is high in malic acid, so it is thought to act as a solvent to weaken adhesions between solid globules. Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) are used because it's believed it relaxes smooth muscle and will relax and dilate the bile duct to enable larger solid particles (like gallstones) to exit the gallbladder. Unrefined olive oil is used to stimulate the gallbladder and bile duct to contract and expel gallstones.

People often notice small pellets or balls in their stool, which can range in size and color. Although proponents of the liver flush say that these balls are gallstones, critics of the flush say that the balls are not really gallstones but are soft complexes of mineral, olive oil and lemon juice produced within the digestive tract. Although it's a popular home remedy, there's insufficient evidence to show that it's effective or safe.

That's just one website, and a quick explanation. My liver flush book is in transit - currently in Pennysalvania. Some people say it's just a product of minerals and the oil/lemon juicer, some people swear by it. I am going to do it and see if my body feels any different. Everyone responds in so many ways, that I don't think things like flushes are for everyone - some just respond 'better' than others. We shall see, I suppose!

You'll spot young coconuts in the refrigerator section in produce - the brown coconuts are usually out in the open. I've never bought any young coconuts from WF but have seen them there. Also check at an Asian market. They'll have them for sure. Again, look in the cold section and you should see 'em.

I hope you like them too! I love them in my smoothies (both water and meat combined with other fruits and/or cacao - for instance, choco-banana-coconut=yum). They're also great "plain." The water is EXCELLENT for upping or maintaining electrolytes so it'd be perfect for when you're climbing. You can make ice creams, other desserts (pudding) with it too. It's so much different tasting than the mature coocoonuts. They have a naturally toasty taste to them IMO. My little avatar is of me drinking the water from the coconut. We had gone to the market where they topped it for us so we could drink on the go. I did a post recently about the health bennies of young coconut: http://hihorosie.blogspot.com/2008/07/skool-iz-kool.html

I just saw your comment on Rosie's blog about the young coconuts. I was just in Nashville last weekend at the WF at Green Hills. I didn't notice any, but I wasn't looking for them either. You can also find them at the Mexican market sometimes. Usually at the Mexican and Asian markets they are a tad cheaper.
Good luck!
