My brother's b-day party

On Saturday we hosted my brother's birthday party. He turned 16 !

We had a bunch of family and friends over, so I made a raw apple pie.

But since my family is extremely unhealthy, I didn't tell them it was raw until AFTER they ate it.

Well, long story short people LOVED it!!! I was psyched!

Just used my basic vanilla recipe that I describe in the post called "ice cream for the world, and more". I had some really ripe nectarines in the fruit bowl so I sliced them into the ice cream. Its just the right touch!
Great to hear about your apple pie! People are so funny about how their perception of taste changes when they have a preconcieved judgment of what something will be like. Smart to not tell them it was raw until AFTER they loved it.
Also really cool that you are so into climbing. I always thought it would be cool to try but I just haven't had the opportunity to learn.

So how did Ash' turn out so healthy? It must be all the well fed climbers she hangs with. Now to save your family.
On good eating topic, how are you for garlic use? Do you gnaw at some raw cloves for snacks, or at least pile it on many foods for flavor and healthy effects? I always hear how great it is, and use it raw on cold vege pasta salads.

woodchuck,

my friends are pretty terrible eaters... most of them, at least!

I am doing this on my own. And my good friend/coach steve is a raw foodist as well.

And nope, I'm not a huge fan of garlic.

How super cool is that?! I hear of people doing that, making something raw and telling everyone after that it is. I gotta try that sometime! Except I'm not sure I have anyone left to fool around me since they know I'd make something raw. ha ha! Very cool though about your awesome apple pie. And happy b-day to your bro!
