weight and water

I have been increasing my water intake (to about 100 fluid ounces a day), and since then I have gained 1 or 2 pounds. Is this normal?

I hate gaining weight!!!!!! BUT i DO LOVE WATER!

I'm sure that extra weight will flush out. I'm trying to up my water intake too. I have to force myself at first but I'm hoping to get in the good habit of doing so.

Your fine R'ash. Water is good, and its weight doesn't stay. All you read is how healthy it is to drink and drink, even when not thirsty. I'm terrible in getting enough water daily. It helps skin tone too. I sure better carry a couple 30oz. bottles in Vegas next week.

When I'm in that 107 Vegas heat, just keep sending me messages that remind me to 'DRINK WATER and EAT FRUIT'. Even though it's that comfortable 'dry heat' they always joke about, I know I better suck down a few quarts while out at RedRox. Will be ducking the sun and climbing in shade I hope.
Nothing is better than water as you know well. Less power drinks, more instant juice paks in a water bottle.

ash, weight fluctuates 2 or 3 pounds within a few hours. that means absolutely nothing. drinking enough water is the only way to allow your body to operate smoothly and allow maximum cell operation. even though it may SEEM that you may have gained a pound or two drinking it, it's not the case. you're just hydrated, which helps to process the good stuff you're putting in your body.

It could be all the greens you were eating, I vaguely have heard greens & sunshine help put on weight. But that is so totally hearsay on my part. Of course enough fruit fuel is crucial too, especially as an athlete.

But yeah weight fluctuates, it's true. But putting on weight in the form of muscle is really a joy, do you think so too? That could be it?

Do you eat salt? That will cause you to retain extra water too.
